A colourful spring display of forget-me-nots. Add a little heat and let your imagination run even further. And over-wintered cuttings ready to bring glowing colour to your flower borders at a fraction of shop prices. The amateur has full-length glass panels and sloping sides to make the greatest possible use of the low angled winter sun. It's economical to heat, too, because the western red cedar is a most efficient thermal insulator. Easy to erect Alton Amateur Greenhouses are available in both freestanding and lean to versions. And from there you can choose either the 8' or 10' wide models (freestanding) or the 7' wide (lean-to) with a variety of lengths available .All models are pre-treated and have a wide, sliding door and kerb less doorway for easy access. |

 | Traditional-style greenhouses have parallel sides that don't restrict the growing space at high level and are ideally suited to the addition of high-level shelving. So, the Cedar Traditional is the greenhouse for those people who need maximum amount of growing space in the smallest amount of ground space. Alton Traditional greenhouses have many of the same features as the Amateur range - ventaccess sliding ventilators, roof ventilation, full-length glass panels, preservative treatment, sliding door, guttering and down pipes are all including in the price. And, of course, Cedar has an inherent resistance to rot so you can expect your Cedar Traditional to last for years. As with the Amateur the traditional is also available as a freestanding or a lean-to greenhouse.
